Gwen Fuller loves making wire-based jewelry and is teaching some great techniques here. It feels great to take a piece of wire and create your own findings, as well as jewelry! It’s also nice to know how to create strong components that don’t require any soldering! These basic pieces will give you the perfect base to expand on your handmade jewelry.

Life is a Beach (Kandra’s Ripple) Bracelet
Stitch an assortment of beach charms & shells on a backdrop of sand colored seed beads. Or, use bright summer colored beads, paired with dyed mother-of-pearl discs & crystals for a lively burst of color, motion & sound. This three-dimensional bracelet can be elegant, whimsical, or just plain wild. The choice is in the beads you use. This class uses variations of netting stitch. Some beading experience is helpful, but ok for beginners. -Bonnie Mountain
This is a 4 hour class.

FLOWER REVERSIBLE BRACELET
This bracelet was inspired by Sheilah Cleary’s Irresistible Reversible Bracelet from her book, Beading & Beyond. The triangle ends of the bracelet are worked in brick stitch using cube beads. The base of the beaded rows are worked in right angle weave and then embellished with a flower design on both sides. A great project for beaders at all levels.

The Sophea Spiral is an original design by Karmen. This delightful project supplies students with yet another new beadwork technique: participants will create a strong, full, and beautiful band that can also serves perfectly as a necklace strap. The project begins with a core of beads and a toggle clasp. The core is then decorated with a series of loops that advances and then reverses along the length of the spine. This spiral is unlike the usual internet spiral, because it uses a “figure 8”-style loop. The bracelet is equally lovely using a brilliant color palate or one with more subdued tones. This project is appropriate for all levels of beading experience.
